20206 APSCVIR
The 20th Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (APSCVIR 2026), one of the region’s major annual events in interventional radiology, was held from June 11 to 14, 2026, at the Suzhou International Expo Center in Jiangsu, China.
The scientific program covered a broad range of advanced topics, including transarterial chemoembolization (TACE), interventional treatment of vascular malformations, and robotic systems for interventional radiology. Chaired by Academician Teng Gaojun, the congress brought together leading experts from the Asia-Pacific region, Japan, Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. Through expert lectures, clinical case discussions, and hands-on workshops, the meeting highlighted the latest advances in minimally invasive interventional radiology.
In conjunction with APSCVIR 2026, Gongwin Pharmaceutical, Tianjin Hongjian, and Gongwin’s China distributor, Zhenshi Biotech, jointly organized the APSCVIR 2026 Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Clinical Decision-Making Forum on Precision Oncology. The forum was chaired by Academician Teng Gaojun and attended by dozens of physicians and medical experts from around the world. Taiwanese participants included Prof. Shi-Ming Lin of Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Prof. Wei-Che Lin of Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Dr. Chien-An Liu of Taipei Veterans General Hospital, and Dr. Chun-Yu Lin of Taiwan Adventist Hospital.
Gongwin Pharmaceutical invited Prof. Shi-Ming Lin as a featured speaker at the clinical decision-making forum. In his presentation, “Clinical Applications and Future Perspectives of PTS in Hepatocellular Carcinoma,” Prof. Lin shared his experience from the Phase II clinical trial conducted at Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, including clinical observations and outcomes from more than ten patients with hepatocellular carcinoma treated with PTS.
The presentation generated considerable interest and discussion among participating experts. PTS was recognized as a potentially valuable approach for the local treatment of challenging hepatocellular carcinoma lesions, particularly tumors located near critical anatomical structures such as the heart, peritoneum, pleura, intestine, bile ducts, portal vein, and major blood vessels. Experts also discussed the potential future application of PTS in patients with early- to intermediate-stage disease and solitary medium-to-large tumors.
The participating specialists provided valuable recommendations regarding the future Phase III clinical development program and expressed their expectations for the continued advancement of PTS as a potential treatment option for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.
Following the scientific sessions, Gongwin Pharmaceutical hosted a dinner with participating experts, including Academician Teng Gaojun, Prof. Shi-Ming Lin, and Prof. Masatoshi Kudo, among others. Prof. Kudo is an internationally recognized hepatocellular carcinoma expert in the Asia-Pacific region and a leading authority in locoregional treatment for liver cancer in Japan.
Gongwin Pharmaceutical plans to invite Prof. Masatoshi Kudo to serve as a principal investigator for the proposed Phase III clinical study of PTS in Japan. During the discussions, Prof. Kudo shared his perspectives and recommendations regarding the future clinical development of PTS.
The event provided a valuable platform for international scientific exchange and discussion on hepatocellular carcinoma treatment, while further strengthening collaboration among leading specialists in interventional oncology and advancing the global clinical development of PTS.
